CITRUS BOOST PORRIDGE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sachet Nourishing Nuts porridge

  • ½ cup hot water

  • ¼ cup soy milk

  • ½ blood orange, squeezed juice

TOPPINGS:

  • ½ blood orange, sliced

  • Slivered almonds (optional)

  • Puffed grains (optional)

EQUIPMENT:

  • Microwave safe bowl, spoon

METHOD:

  1. Combine the oats and hot water in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 60 seconds in the microwave

  2. Stir in the milk and orange juice. Heat for a further 30 seconds

  3. Top with sliced orange and sprinkle over extra nuts and puffed grains

NOTES:

  • Citrus fruits are high in folate and Vitamin C, which are important for energy production

  • Vitamin C is an important nutrient which helps support immune function

  • High in protein and fibre to keep you feeling fuller for longer
